James Darren's real voice?

Hey just wanted to ask you gidget fans out there if that was really James Darren singing in the movie? The voice seemed like it fit him. I know there's a bobby darrin and that's different. But I didn't know if he was lip-synching or not. Any clue?

It sounded like the James Darren I remember. He did have a couple of hit records.

yeah, its him! I have a CD of all his songs and Gidget is on there as well as the songs from Gidget Goes to Rome and Gidget Goes Hawaiian!

Oh yes, that is definitely James Darren singing. His voice still makes my heart stop. You can even find current CDs since he's begun singing again although he's mellowed out into jazz.

It's his voice. He was my first crush when I was a kid. Those big brown eyes; he was hot!

James Darren has the best voice ever, and I love his version of "The Way You Look Tonight". His version was the version I used in my wedding!!!

Aww, but I adored Vic Fontaine. Vic was actually the first role I'd ever seen James Darren in and that's what began my fandom. There's something utterly romantic about him playing a singing hologram from the 1960s.
