The New DVD Release...

The new DVD release features both B&W and Colorized versions of THE GIANT GILA MONSTER and THE KILLER SHREWS. They are done by the same outfit that released SHE and THINGS TO COME last year. Unlike those restroations these prints show NO restoration. They obviously did not have original masters to work with in cleaning up the prints and we suspect that they may have been 16mm dupe prints usually of the type distributed to local T.V. Affliates. These 16mm dupes were then transferred to Video Tape. You can see the cross tracking verticle from the film and horizontal from the tape. Dirt, Drop Outs and other imperfections are complete to the DVD transfers. This new release is only suitable for fans of these films, like us.
