i've read Orpheus Descending and I think it's a great play, I really want to see the fugitive kind but haven't managed to find it in UK shops yet...

I was just wondering what the differences are from the play to the film?

soon a Tennessee Williams box set is coming out, i think they should have included this film too, i know it isn't as well known, but i heard itz become a cult classic, hopefully they'll re release it sometime too.

There is an entire scene in the beginning featuring Val in a courthouse, the ending was done completely differently, an the scenes were basically redone, with lines chosen from random parts of the play worked in. I adored the play, but thought this was an atrocious adaptation.
