Is Joanne's character a supporting actress?
Say in terms of awards, if there was a supporting category, would she be nomnated in it? Reply ASAP
shareyes...she was the suporting actress...along with maureen stapleton... I think stapleton got an award for playing the repressed wife of the sharif... I loved both her charector and woodward's.
shareWoodward's role is a supporting one, but she received above the title billing, so who knows how she was offered for Academy Award consideration. I am not aware of Stapleton receiving any award for her performance in this film.
