Remake potential

Now that musicals are starting to be made again, I think this film would be a good candidate. I am usually not a fan of remakes, but I always like to remind movie fans today that before there was Jim Carrey, there was Danny Kaye. In that vein, I think it would be a good experiment for Carrey to see if he can pull off a dramatic role like this, just as Danny Kaye did. Movies need a good family-and-children-come-before-career-ambitions film like this.

I threw up in my mouth a little, Jim Carrey is neither the actor or the man that Danny Kaye was...

Carrey is TWICE as much the actor and comedian Kaye was (even with the shenanigans he puled recently about autism)-check out his performance in Man On The Moon. If you've got a better person that the OP has, please let me (and the rest of the planet) know rather than just #@%$ on the idea.

And please, STOP &^$#ing on current actors-the ones you love from antiquity aren't around anymore, nor can they be brought back just to entertain you. Deal with what (and who) is here now.

Can Jim Carrey sing like Danny Kaye? I've never seen Carrey sing.
