Didn't this movie have several scenes of Stewart's character with his family on car trips, etc. and there was a recurring theme of a music box being played? I hope I'm right - saw this locally on afternoon movies on Channel 13 in Grand Rapids years ago....
shareThere were no car trips as you set forth. There were several scenes as the family was relocated from assignment to assignment.
The music box was inside the little "beenie copter" hat (similar to the type hat Spanky McFarland wore) which played as the wind blew through the small propellar on top. The tune was "Yankee Doodle Dandy". Hope this helped.
