Does anyone know what they're saying? . . . .

Throughout the movie there's a word many of the characters use as an interjection at the beginning of their sentences... it sounds like they're saying faith!. Is that correct? For example when Darby's telling Michael about how he almost got the pot of gold and says (in light of his job ending imminently), "faith?, I have need for it now") or at another point, he says to Michael, "faith?, a stepmother wouldn't blame me"
Just wondering if that's the word they're actually using. Thank you for reading!

Faith!

It's a common, but archaic interjection that the Irish once used much as we would say Damn!
