The Wishing Song
Does anyone know the lyrics for The Wishing Song?; Darby and King Brian sing to each other while drinking "whuskey"
I know they are a little sloshed towards the end, but I'd like to get as many verses as I can.

Ok this post is very belated and my memories hazy, it's been years since I've seen this, but here is what I remember. I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything on the net.
I recall at least the jist of three verses and think that might be all we heard.
The first is Darby's
"I wish that more people (?) were like my friend Brian
He'll beat you at drinkin' or fall down tryin'"
To which Brian responds
"I wish that more people were like my friend Darby"
The next was something about him being full of blarny, botching it to make it vaguely rhyme. Not very good but, as you said, he was pretty sauced at this point. I always thought Darby looked like he had been taking it somewhat easy, or maybe he just hides it better.
The last verse I remember is Darby's
"It's morning time (or tide) now, you silly old ass
your powers are gone, 'cause the night time has passed"
Of course Brian doesn't take this too well, he yells at Darby and tries to escape by jumping though a wall as we saw one of the leprechauns do before. But, as Darby said, his powers are gone and he winds up getting up close and personal with it. I've always loved that bit. I was always a bit suprised that we saw people obviously drunk in a Disney move of this period but this movie was pretty gutsy.
I just watched the movie two times in a row a couple o days ago an here's what I remember:
Darby
"I wish I had time to sing you a song, but when I get started I sing all night long."
King Brian
"I knew you could sing when you opened your mug, so you carry the tune and I'll carry the jug."
and then something...
King Brian
"I wish all bartenders were like Molly MacCluskey, when she serves you a drink, she serves you good "whuskey".
Darby
"But Molly, she married poor Jimmy McQueen, 'cuz she wanted her name to rhyme with poteen."
Brian
"I wish all the mortals were like my friend Darby, he's full of poteen but he's fuller of blarney."
Darby
"Oh I wish all the gentry were like my friend Brian, if he can't beat you drinkin he'll fall down a-tryin."
An that was the end because the cock crowed, but I really don't remember anythin about Darby callin King Brian an arse.
I've watched that film at least a hundred times and I don't remember hearing that last verse. Besides, I doubt very much a Disney movie made at the end of the 1950's would have used the word "ass".
I always feel sorry for Brian when he collides with the door after his powers go dormant. That had to hurt--both his face and his dignity. Darby doesn't treat him very well after that.
There's another verse:
DARBY:
"Oh, I wish I was married to old widow Tunney,
She's as ugly as sin, but has beautiful money!"
Darby doesnt get sloshed anyway, he keeps putting his dring back in the jug when king Brian isnt looking, great tune tho
shareProbably my favorite scene in the movie, so funny.
