Did somebody here report this goof?
I just read today the goof about Lizzie telling Cornelia twice about the servants hearing noises and she had different reactions about them wanting to quit. I don't really think this can qualify as a goof because their first conversation went:
Lizzie: Them servants are talking about walking out on us.
Cornelia: Really? I know they don't like it here but I didn't think it was that bad.
Lizzie: Well they've been hearing things about that killer the police call the bat, and the murders he committed here this past winter.
Cornelia: Has he committed another crime?
Lizzie: Not yet but that ain't saying that he won't. (boy, could she call them or what?) Here's something else, you've heard about the bats they have here, animal bats the kind that fly. Here's a report from the state health department and it says some of them bats is rabid. And that ain't all, now there's a rumor going around about the Bat himself, the killer I mean, that released the rabid bats in this neigbhorhood.
Cornelia: Oh that's ridiculous.
Lizzie: Well, the cook, the butler and the upstairs maid don't think so.
Cornelia: I can't help that, if hysterical nonsense like that can drive people out of their good jobs, it's their loss, not mine.
Their conversation when Cornelia was playing cards was entirely different:
Lizzie: Ever since he died, some funny things have happened here.
Cornelia: For instance?
Lizzie: The housekeeper, the cook and the butler said that they heard strange noises at night, and the upstairs maid swore she met a man without a face coming up the back stairs.
And when Cornelia says "OH! So THAT'S why they quit and left me to run this place without a staff", it doesn't sound like she doesn't know what Lizzie's talking about, it sounds like she's realizing just WHY the servants were scared out of their jobs.
