Will the real Laura Manion please stand up!

Watched AOAM last night for the first time in years and it still holds up as a classic. My wife and I stayed in Big Bay a couple of times many years ago and went to the Lumberjack Tavern and learned at that time of the case, the film, etc. I remember there were lots of pictures on the walls from the film shoot but don't recall if there were pics of the actual participants. There probably are, I just don't remember. I was kind of curious what the real Lt. Coleman and Charlotte Peterson looked like and ran across these photos. Don't know if these have been shared here before so thought I would post the links.

The one URL also answered my question of what the US Army was up to in Big Bay during the early 1950s. There was an anti-aircraft artillery test range in the area while the US was still figuring out its air defense system early in the Cold War.

Thank you for posting those. Very interesting stuff!

Interestingly the real life Lt. Manion (Lt. Peterson) was almost like the twin of D.A. Lodwick (Brooks West). I wonder if West was meant to play the lieutenant originally.

Excuse my English please, not a native speaker.
