I'm curious. Grant married Bing Crosby in 1957. I just watched this great movie again and it appears that Kathryn is pregnant (and naturally hiding it). Does anyone know if she was expecting her first child with Bing?

The film was released on 1 July 1959. I can't find any details on when location shooting was done, only that it took two months to complete. Bing an Kathryn's first child Harry was born 8 August 1958 and their second, Mary Frances was born 14 September 1959. She may very well have been pregnant during filming or at the very least have give birth to Harry shortly before filming.

Thanks to some links provided by another poster, I was able to find the filming dates. The actors arrived on location in the Upper Peninsula area on March 22 and filming completed on May 15th in 1959. Miss Grant would indeed have been two to three months pregnant during filming.

Thanks for the info, my eagle eye thought she might have been with the "swagger coat" popular during that era :)
