Recently this film just straight up plummeted from 200-ish out of the list.
Does anyone know why this happened? It's natural for films to gradually slide out but to drop 50+ places virtually overnight is very odd.
Sometimes IMDb changes the threshold of votes a movie needs to qualify for the Top 250. They may also adjust the logarithm at times to compensate for attempts to game the vote system.

IMDB has readjusted their algorythms with the introduction of top 250 TV shows, whitch may have had a significant effect. I did make a personal copy of a top 250 list in 2013 that i slowly watch through with a plan to see them all. Surprisingly many have dropped out of the list when i come back to rate them after watching them.
