Movies obviously influenced by The Twilight Zone

Other than The Twilight Zone Movie, which movies remind you the most of the original (Rod Serling's) Twilight Zone series? I'm talking about something more than just any old sci-fi/horror/monster film with jump-scares, but movies that capture the slow unravelling of a mystery that Serling's show did so well.

Or, to put it in other words, name some movies that seem to be the most like an extra-long episode of The Twilight Zone.

I can think of two, both released in 1998: Dark City and The Truman Show. And come to think of it, Field of Dreams (1989) has a lot of Twilight Zone in it.

the loveless (1981)

I thought of another: The Swimmer (1968).

Of course, it's based on a John Cheever short story, which were often very surreal without actually crossing over into sci-fi/horror.

Planet of the Apes, Omega Man and Soylent Green. And probably The Rise of Skywalker because of that clever plot twist of Rey being a Palpatine. That reveal was one of the most shocking scenes in cinema history

Rod Serling was one of the screenwriters of the original Planet of the Apes, whcih explains the resemblance.

Poltergeist is definitely inspired by the episode with the girl getting lost in the wall.

"In his own image" has a robot hand scene very similar to terminator.
