It's nice to see that someone else appreciates "The Last Flight." I am at a loss as to why that one isn't mentioned in the same breath as the classics like "It's A Good Life."

You must be a fan of immortality seeing as you picked both "Nile" and "Jameson." They're very similar episodes, right down to both having clothes filled with the dust of their former occupants. I enjoy both and have over the years come to think that "Nile" might have the best mid-episode twist ever. I didn't see it coming at all the first time.

If you haven't already you should seek out "Long Distance Call" which is the story "Night Call" is based on. I think an audio version of it is available on YouTube.

Angular Turnip (What does this name mean, by the way?),

I've always liked "The Last Flight" because I really like Kenneth Haigh (but then, I'm a life-long Anglophile, so this is no surprise).

I don't know that I'm a fan of immortality in particular, but I do believe in reincarnation--not sure if that's relevant.

I've never read or heard the original "Long Distance Call"--ironic that it's the same title as the Billy Mumy/grandmother episode.

"Angular Turnip" is one of the many derisive names Uncle Simon calls Barbara in "Uncle Simon" ("wilting blossom" is another I particularly fancied).
