The Star Trail (1959)
Laramie S1 E5 is very very similar to Cheyenne S1 E13 Star in the Dust 1956. Both were written by Douglas Heyes. Just an observation. I guess this was a common practice. KAS
shareI started pretty much the exact same thread on the Cheyenne boards about these two episodes. Similar episode titles as well (Star in the Dust, on Cheyenne).
No one ever replied so I thought I'd reply to yours.
As I was watching the Laramie version I thought something seemed familiar. When the old rich guy confronts the sheriff about killing his son, that's when I realized it was the same story.
Currently on Encore Westerns they show a couple different clips from this Cheyenne episode between shows:
- Cheyenne is at a poker table with three men standing over him, and he says "I've got a better idea, let's see who won." One of them draws on Cheyenne and he flips the table over on the bad guy.
- Same three men are facing a marshal with a two-gun holster, and the marshal draws both guns and takes out two of the bad guys.
