Did they name the character with a different actor in mind?
Originally they wanted to name the character "Big C@ck" but the censors squelched it.
That's the Hays code for ya!
His real name in Hollywood was sweet dick but the cencors did not like it.
Smith looks pretty slim to me. No gut hanging over his belt at all.
