Marlene Dietrich declared that the one long evening she spent with Orson Welles filming on Touch of Evil was the best and most exhilarating moment of her entire career.

And it was so great to see her in this. I thought the scene with the two of them was the best in the film - it made me tingle...

She was magic too! Pure inspiration...she oozed it brilliantly..

Her scenes on the film are the best. Tana's sympathy for Quinlan, more than even Menzies' who couldn't see the man's true nature until the end, is what elevates it to a true tragedy.
