Carolyn Kearney

1958's THE THING THAT COULDN'T DIE was the first time I had seen the very attractive actress Carolyn Kearney (1931-2005). To this day I'm still impressed by the director's emphasis on her breasts, especially when she's wearing the amulet (hell, the film ends on another close-up shot of her ample cleavage!). Who says that the old movies have little entertainment value for today's audiences? Later in 1962, Carolyn appeared in an episode of THRILLER, THE INCREDIBLE DOKTOR MARKESAN, opposite Boris Karloff himself (as Dick York's wife).

Thought the movie was better than the IMDB rating of 2.6. The living head alone makes this worthwhile.

My favorite redheaded actress is Allison Hayes. Carolyn Kearny is pretty.

I also felt this movie was unfairly berated.

But fairly common in 50s movies movies. Fashions then featured tight fitting upper clothing for women.

Ample cleavage or one of those old fashioned large bras?

She does seem to be prime for a jail bait film especially once she is possessed. The scenes of her in bed with the woman are "interesting" too.
