Ron Ely

I understand he appears in this film in an early role. I'm not too familiar with him, and I'm a bit curious when he shows up. My dad, who is somewhat familiar with him, wasn't sure but said he might be the sailor with the medalion-like pendant lying against his chest. The one who sings the line "We've got mangos and bananas we can pick right off a tree" during "There is Nothing Like a Dame". Is this indeed the case? And if not, when does he appear? Some help would be appreciated. One of his lines would be especially helpful. Thanks.

I'm watching this right now and I thought he was one of the copilots in the plane... in the scene where Luther parachutes down to the water, you see the guy flying the plane, and I think Ron's the one sitting next to him looking out the window a lot...

Correct. Ron Ely was one of the co-pilots.

Alright. Thanks. Now that I look at photos of Ely, he doesn't look anything like the guy I thought might have been him.

In case you're wondering, Ron Ely is best known for the title role in the 1960s Tarzan series.
