I watched The Screaming Skull tonight and noticed that the theme music is very similar to the main theme from The Shining (1980).

Kevin,
The theme music is from a 12th century Gregorian chant, called, "DIES IRAE".
( DAY OF HATE) meaning the Day of Judgement!!
Hector Berlioz's used it in his Sympony Fantastique Movement #5 - The Witches Sabbath.
As well as both Berlioz and Wendy Carlos and Ernest Gold in their music apparently for it's apocalyptic associations!!
