funny, i had never heard of it before and thought it was an obscure movie, but i was surprised how this board was packed with love for this flick, i got this in a 50 movies horror classics dvd box and did not expect the widescreen, what an uncomfortable and creepy opening, with similar vibe from the music piece, strange how after that fast paced horror introduction then it just continues for a long while as a regular flick in broad daylight, mickey seemed at first like a villain sneaking up on people and it came as a surprise they knew each other, it's an atmospheric spooky story without blood, like something kids creep each other out with, it's sort of similar to "house on haunted hill" with vincent price, how horror movies should be, spoiler follows, one great effect is how you expect there is mickey moving the skull just to find out it moves on its own. on second thought though the movie would stand better without that strange start of it i think.

lost myself,
since you gone away,
invisible i went,
emotionless,
you took my soul and left,
dead man under sky of grey.
