But she looks to old to be working the room with the other girls. She should have been their boss who envies them now that the guys no longer want her. She's hardly a 'girl' as Taylor refers to her.

Totally agree.... She doesn't look like a "party girl" at all... I even had to look at her age when she did this movie...

She's the best part of this film, especially her two dances sequences, I think the only dancer I've seen so far who might be better is Eleanor Powell. The first half of the film is not all that great, there isn't much spark between Charisse and Taylor, but the second half is a lot better. I'd give it 7/10.
