Best DVD release?

As there are so many DVD releases of this film out there I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of the definitive one? Is there an 'official' release rather than all public domain efforts? I don't mind which region I just want to see the best possible version. I've looked at Amazon of course bit their policy of lumping all the reviews together is very confusing. Has anyone managed to sort through the dross and buy a superior version?

The version they show on TCM is great quality

Gamesystems never become obsolete if they are still fun to play

Yes, Warner Bros. did release an official copy on dvd in 1999. It's nice, because it does include the standard and widescreen versions of the film!

I love those DVDs that have the widescreen version on one side and the full screen one on the other side. It's like having two copies of the film for the price of one. Anyways, I know the graininess and cheap visual quality upsets most people but I've never minded things like that. High definition, clear picture is nice but I won't be upset if it's not the best as long as I can see and hear what's happening in the film.
