sharejust seen it a few days ago myself on the BBC
really enjoyed it, and thought it had a solid story. the action sequences i feel where excellent of the time.
Big name cast too. Sid James, Herbert Lom, Baker, McGoohan, Connery.
This movie would cost a fortune to make today.
But they'd probably have Matt Damon, Ben Affleck or one of the other so called "Movies stars" in it. Movie stars my arse. Them two dont deserve to eat the aboves s h i t.

Lol at the speed cameras
"Another record today Red, 18 runs. But it's a shame you got 36 speeding tickets your fired"
and Tom gets the gold cigarette case film over.
Red would either be a black rapper or a "hard assed" woman.
Leave classics be!
Buzz over the speed cameras as well...
In the yard.... "OI where is your yellow hi-viz, where are your hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses and gloves, stop smoking, did you report to the site manager first, don't forget your banks-man whilst reversing...."
The Health and Safety guys would have a field day!!
Yeah, I agree it was a blockbuster cast as we see it now, but many of them were past their prime or not there yet. Lom - Past, Connery - just beginning McGoohan - Never really more than a TV Star. There was no way they were paying a half dozen "star" salaries to make this movie.
So having the same mix of actors today wouldn't cost that much, and the production values certainly weren't that much - a bunch of trucks driving around and a lot of dialogue.
This movie would be dirt cheap to make today. And the truck destruction would be pretty quick and cheap CGI. Only a handful of locations too. Done.
yeah
a good one
