REALLY bad acting from Vincent Price side

Seriously it looked and felt like he was reading of a chart evrytime he uttered a line. I'm watching the sequel as we speak, sure he's better but still he's always overracting or being over theatrical..

Is this the mark of Price in general?

"Wait!" "Worry" "Who Cares?"

The legendary Vincent Price (That's MISTER to you) can read his lines however he sees fit and the world should feel greatful for his having done so. Signed, Mrs Price

@hingleyc; you are amazingly awesome! I agree, Vincent can do what the heck he wishes and we are priviledged to even be eclipsed by his shadow on our tv screens! The man was a LEGEND! and he's allowed to be a bit campy if he so pleases.

In a perfect world, Walken and Price would've been in a movie together.

It´s one of his more understated performances, in fact.

Vincent Price is the greatest actor ever to appear before a camera. His "bad" acting trumps the best anybody else has ever offered.

By the way, how`s your mom, Ed?

Price, as usual, acted like a boss in this film. In other words, he was good and far from bad.

Calling Vincent Price's acting bad is bona fide heresy. You'd better prepare yourself for the stake, my friend.

Bad? Vincent Price was awesome in this film (he played the part of Francois very well, and it was great to see him play against type, as he's usually playing eccentrics or villains).

Also, Vincent Price was and is a legend in film history. You think his acting was bad? I shudder to think what your basis for comparison is.

Agreed. I re-watched this last night for the first time in many a year. Vincent Price was on fine form as usual.

Perhaps he may have been told to downplay his role in this. He certainly doesn't give it the full VP treatment as he needed to play the part sympathetically.
