It is probably Teddington Bridge.

It is the bridge at Teddington Lock where the Thames stops being Tidal.

What's amusing is the fact that when the ships leave they head the wrong way, towards the weir and away from Central London :D

The smaller of the two buildings in the background is where the Fish-Slapping sketch from Monty Python was filmed.

The location filming was on Camber Sands Nr. Rye Sx. and in there from the coast along to Hastings. I witnesses the "Orchard Scene" where one of the characters is left behind. The farm scene of an air attack on vehicles was the farm of a school friend. My dance teacher was an extra in the scene of refugees being straifed from the air.

Could you tell me where 'THE ORCHARD SCENE' and the 'AIR ATTACK ON THE FARM' were shot please?

reply

I think they were filmed in East Sussex county in England.🐭

The scene where the German commander stops his armoured car before the bridge was filmed at the Medieval bridge at Teston nr Maidstone,Kent. The shot had Mills & co looking down onto the bridge from the West Farleigh end towards the A26.The view is totally unchanged today. It`s possible that the orchard and farm scenes were shot close to this location but I`m really not sure.
