Different versions

I was just watching this on BBC2 and noticed a few changes. The death scene has a split second extra-- I presume this is the recovered footage and it's great. However Dracula biting Mina is different from the scene I'm used to; I have the Warner Bros Region 1 DVD and the camera stays on Dracula until he pushes Mina onto the bed (they go out of shot and then it cuts to the owl). In the version I just saw the camera focuses on Mina instead and you see Dracula almost about to bite her. Is this the new cut or is this just the British cut? I guess it's slightly more explicit (though he still doesn't exactly bite her) but I thought the scene I'm used to is actually more sexual as you don't see him simply biting her (leaves more to the imagination I guess)
