Rate the Hammer Dracula Series

I'm including only those movies with Lee as the Count, but here's my opinion:

1. Dracula Has Risen from the Grave.... love this movie!

2. Prince of Darkness... great directing, awesome sets and Father Sandor is awesome!

3. Scars of Dracula... the best Dracula movies center around the castle, like this one does... plus it has Patrick Troughten and some interesting characters.

4. Horror of Dracula... an entertaining film, but the ending hurts this one for me... Christopher Lee at 6'5" would pummel the frail Peter Cushing, let alone if he had the strength of a supernatural monster.

5. Taste the Blood of Dracula... this is where, in my opinion, it goes downhill... takes too long to get going, there's no castle scenes, gratuitous nudity... to much of a revenge theme, but Ralph Bates is awesomely creepy and Linda Hayden is so gorgeous it hurts...

6/7. Dracula AD and Satanic Rites just don't do it for me... no castle, modern plots, silly things like Van Helsing being shot in the head to virtually no harm hurt these films but ultimatley the dead slow pacing make these films hard for me to watch. Although Lee is awesome as usual.

I'll put mine in order from favorite to least favorite. I haven't seen Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires yet but I am going to very soon. I am expecting a copy of it in the mail very soon.
