Hand into ash....blooper


When Dracula falls back into the sunlight, he places his hand into a big pile of ash (you see the prefer blowing upward from Lee's hand slapping it), which I believe is supposed to simulate his flesh burning. However, in the shot where his hand crumbles, there is no ash. Then, in the final shot of his hand, it has turned to ash and is a pile of ash again.

It's not a mistake. It looks like that because they cut a few seconds out. The full uncensored scene has now been restored on the Blu ray.
