what were the conditions Brick agreed on living with Maggie?

So why didn't Brick just get rid of Maggie? Brick talks about conditions he agreed on to stay living with Maggie but I can't figure what they were maybe it has to do with something Maggie found out about the relationship between Brick and Skipper anyway it doesn't make a sense, Big Daddy himself told him getting rid of Maggie if he wouldn't have liked her anymore, so what stopped him from doing that?

I was wondering the same thing. That's the one question I have about this film. Can someone please answer this? Thank you.

It was pain talking when he was so cold to Maggie in the beginning. We see in the scene where he's alone in the bathroom that he lovingly caresses her nightgown and rubs it on his face. He's in a stage where he loves her but has convinced himself he can't have her. Hurt feelings and plunging sorrow rule out that day --at least the beginning of the day that is. He also doesn't want a better life for himself at that time so there would be no use in divorcing Maggie. Big Daddy puts it best when he says that he has the guts to die but does Brick have the guts to live?
