I can`t believe Paul lost the best actor Oscar to David Niven , he was clearly in a supporting role not lead. He would`ve been more deserving to win for supporting actor instead , if going by the nominated performances his was more deserving than Burl`s in The Big Country . Back to Paul , I always this was his best performance ever and the most deserving out of all his nominations.

I really liked Paul's performance in Cool Hand Luke. He really captured the stubbornness of the character, and the futility of all that stubbornness.
