The boy´s acting
I find it so very rare to see a kid perform so outstandingly as the dying boy in this movie. His eyes were so profound, so full of pride, so mature and yet still childish nonetheless...
I was moved by the boy.
Agreed, his acting made the final scene an especially powerful moment.
