uncredited actor?

early on, when Shep first takes Merle to the Zodiac club, Bianca is explaining the French performance art to her date. I recognize him, but can't place his name on the credit list.

anyone else recognize him?

If it's who I think you're referring to, they were seated at a table and you only see mostly the left side of his face....it looks like a leaner version of a guy named John Schook or Shlook or something similar who played in one of the police/detective series of the 60's. McMillan and Wife or Rockford Files, etc.

The soundtrack CD credits him as Philippe Clay.

John Schuck and it wasn't him. He was 18 when this movie was made.

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.

The actor is James Lanphier,he is listed in the full cast and crew credits as "Waldo". I read he was a friend of Blake Edwards and shows up in more than a few of his projects.

Yes, it's definitely James Lanphier. I remember his playing the role of the fortune teller Marius Stone in the Perry Mason episode "The Case of the Fatal Fortune". He shows up in a lot of TV shows from the late '40s to the late '60s, but, sadly, he died of a stroke at age 48 in 1969.
