My favorite part
I love the part when Gillian is casting the spell on Shep. The way she is holding Pyewacket and humming. Both sets of eyes are so dreamy looking. That was one talented cat!

sharei know, it's my favorite part too! and gillian is one of my favorite characters ever. i'd love to be like her, and have that cat. he is awesome. with him, i'd cast spells all around.
share I agree Pyowackett was an adorable kitty, I got upset when he left Gillian, after she lost her powers. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have that ability, just cast spells and make things happen like you want them too. That's the enchanting part of Bell, Book and Candle to imagine ourself being a beautiful witch among the mortals and having what we want in life, without all the problems.
A lovely movie really.
I love that scene too! Wish it was me casting a love spell on Jimmy Stewart!
"I promise you, before I die I'll surely come to your doorstep"
My favorite part is when they are snuggling on the sofa, just before Nicky calls and just before that fabulous grey tea set is shown.
I think Novak once said that the chemistry between herself and Stewart was so great that when the director called "cut" on this scene, they remained embraced for about 20 minutes. the crew quietly crept away for lunch
I love that part also. Kim Novak, with that looks she gets in her eyes and the humming may be the sexiest thing I've ever witnessed.

I love both those scenes (spell casting and couch cuddling)...also love when they're on top of the Flatiron Building and he throws his hat away and it goes sailing down 5th Avenue.
shareI can imagine the director was yelling cut. Novak was seeing director Richard Quine at the time.
share[the couch-cuddling scene is] Mine too! My friend (she proceeded to shed her socks) and I recently reenacted that scene in our hotel room when we met in Paris, France, to celebrate my birthday. Perfect!
That's my favorite too! Her eyes there were mesmerizing! I find cats to be creepy, so I avoided Piwacket's eyes in the scene, but the whole thing was marvelous. Very effective.
Shawn:Boomboomboomboom..MUFFINS
Dexter S4:Hope it's worth it. Up there w/Jim=Sam=Jim again
I find that scene incredibly funny because she is just humming in her own little world while he has a gabfest!
"I have no memories I'm prepared to share with you."- Peter O'Toole
My favorite part is where Jimmy's character throws his hat off the top of the building and we get to see it float all the way down.
Now how did they know where to have a camera so they can show it finally hitting the road?
What, editing!!
Now I'm pissed--I thought it was all one shot, but they cut it at the last minute, right?
The magic is gone forever...
"Go back to your oar, Forty One."
When they are back down on the street, he's wearing a hat again. Did she "witch it back" for him?!!!

I like the first scene in the Zodiac Club when the band plays Stormy Weather and Merle freaks out. My other favorite is when Stewart goes to get the curse removed. Hilarious, especially the parrot.
Yeah, it almost looked like two cats, one above the other. And for a moment the cat also looked sort of like a Halloween mask covering the lower part of Gil's face.
shareI agree: it's a beautiful, very well done and intriguing scene, and even kind of frightening!
