gil's blues
I can relate some days to one of the first scenes in this movie, gil has the blues about "same ole, same ole" people, stuff etc in her life-- we all can relate to that.

shareIt is very similar to the character of the angel Damiel in Wim Wenders' 1987 Wings of Desire where he talks at length of the tedium of eternity, and his longing to experience the passage of time and human emotion, despite its' concommitent pain.He too relinquished his supernatural powers and become human.
One thing that is not made clear in B,B and C is whether witches age naturally, or more slowly than humans, or if they live forever. It would go a long way to explaining Gil's boredom.
I strongly recommend Wings of Desire for many reasons, not least of which is the similar theme to Bell, Book and Candle.
