The animal chemistry between Kim Novak and James Stewart

I have always thought that there was a really magnetic chemistry between Kim Novak and James Stewart. Their love scenes in 'Vertigo' and 'Bell Book and Candle' were so convincing. In today's 'Telegraph' Kim Novak reveals the following during the making of 'Bell Book and Candle':-

"I was sitting with Jimmy Stewart when they called for lunch and they turned off the set lights. Everyone left. We were playing a scene where we had our shoes off. And we just sat there on the set, put up our feet, bare feet, and we sat there the whole lunch break together with our feet up and next to each other. It was one of those animal times like when an animal lets you rub it's neck. It was the most intimate, rewarding time with another human being I've ever known. Feet don't lie."

How sexy is that? No wonder their sexy on-screen performances together were so convincing.

She did play a most excellent seductress in this film.

Kim Novak was certainly an excellent seductress in the film. I don't think she really needed all that witchcraft stuff. She's the most attractive witch ever on screen I would say.

So they were rubbing reach other's feet?

I usually loathe huge age differences, like Stewart and Kelly in Rear Window, but Stewart and Novak have a palpable chemistry. Plus Novak comes across as an old soul, Vertigo is one example.
