To what are you referring? It hasn't "aged well?" It's wonderful, just as it is. What about the movie are you having a hard time with?

shareWell, I don't know if it hasn't aged well, since I didn't see it when it first came out! In fact, I watched it for the first time only a few years ago, but had wanted to see it for a long time, since I am a huge James Stewart fan, and also like many of the supporting cast such as Elsa Lanchester and Hermione Gingold. I also liked the sound of the plot. However, I was completely bored by it. Watching it, I started getting fidgety, and wishing it would end soon. Also, to me, James Stewart looked unusually uncomfortable in the role. Some people have suggested this is due to the age gap between him and Kim Novak, but it's hardly the only film where the male romantic lead is 25 or so years older than the female lead. No, it's just one of those films that, for me, didn't come anywhere near working. (Incidentally, the reason I came on to this board is because I was scanning channels for something to watch, and saw a film I wanted to see. The film on before it had 20 minutes or so to run, and it was Bell Book And Candle. I then realised how little I actually remembered of the film, which is very unusual for me. It just made so little impact on me.)
