It's already been remade....in 1993, directed by Christopher Guest with Daryl Hannah as the 50 Foot Woman. I doubt you'll be getting another remake.

I don't know about the main character, but I think Tracy Lords would be pretty good evil girlfriend of the husband character.

There was a remake in 1993 and Nancy Archer was played by Daryl Hannah.

Kristen Bell, perhaps. Playing an introverted little woman with hidden anger issues. Make the radiation capable of turning people, not necessarily taller, but into whatever their id wants them to be (large and fearsome, in her case).

And Dax Shepard as her rotter of a husband.

Maybe Sophia Bush as the girlfriend -- not nearly as evil as clueless and manipulated.

I see it more with Jennifer as the 50 footer; with Brad and Angelina.

That wasn't very sporting, using real bullets.

Since I never watch current movies, I had to look up all of the aforementioned actresses' images on internet. None of those stringy chickens are even close to Allison Hayes in the figure department.
