Great episode! Interesting to see McQueen and Landon together, plus another appearance by Warren Oates. Also Victor Jory later appeared in Papillon. This was episode #27 and one of the best so far. $5000 went a long way back then. Josh could have retired.

$5000 went a long way back then.

What cost $5000 in 1871 would cost $12158.23 in 1959. (from an inflation calculator website) One of my pet peeves is when dollar amounts are out of line in a lot of TV westerns but this instance is probably fair. Cool seeing Landon in this. He was in an early Rifleman episode too.
