Changes Over Three Seasons

Hey Folks,

I just finished watching all three seasons, and I enjoyed them just as much as when they were originally aired between 1958 and 1961.

Besides the changes in the "Mare's Leg" over the seasons, I thought it was interesting to note the short but interesting addition of a "partner" for Randall in the second season in the character of Jason played by Wright King. I enjoyed the Jason character and was disappointed in his departure.

Another thing I think is quite interesting seems to have been a new Randall characterization in the third season. During the first two seasons, Randall was almost always seen wearing his holster and cartridge belt around his waist. In the third season, Randall seemed to spend most of the air time carrying his gun and cartridge belt either over his shoulder or on his saddle.

It was all OK with me, however. I am still a fan of the show.

Best wishes,
Dave Wile

Season 3 was supposedly a dropoff from seasons 1 & 2 in quality. Probably cuz it lacked the serious episodes and intense scenes from the first 2 seasons.

Do you have a favorite season of the three?

Hey Quirt,

I watched this show when it was originally televised when I was in high school, and I just finished watching the whole series again with my oldtimer's eyes and ideas. I liked all three seasons when I was in high school, and I find I still like all three seasons today. Yes, there were some shows in each season I did not like as much, but that is true about any TV show I ever liked.

Best wishes,
Dave Wile

I am on the last episode of Season 2 and I have to agree with you. I was younger than you 7 to 10 years old. I loved this show!

Seems like as the show progressed, he gained a fairly heavy southern accent. I just watched the first and second episodes, (I missed the first season the first time around on Encore) and he had no accent at all. Later on, it gets more and more pronounced, and he ends a lot of his sentences with "hear", only dropping the r.

I grew up watching lots of westerns but don't remember watching 'Wanted' regularly. Now I'm catching it on Starz/Encore Westerns and really enjoying the show. Still on the 1st season.
