Sea Hunt on T.H.I.S. TV

T.H.I.S. TV is a network on my local Richmond, VA FOX affiliate as sub-channel. Shows Sea Hunt 2-3 times a week.

I'm watching in Indiana. It's on mornings along with Mister Ed, Highway Patrol, and The Patty Duke Show (also along with The Outer Limits at times). Great show, really enjoying it!

This show is just as good as I remembered it from its original run.

Looks like THIS brought it back after showin' 3 hrs. of sitcoms. It also is re-airing "Highway Patrol."

I thought I remembered it too--my dad & I used to make fun of the dramatic theme music--, but I don't recognize a single episode. Apparently back in '59 & '60 I didn't pay much attention after the theme stopped.

"Sea Hunt" is preceeded on the "this" tv channel by another great Black and White drama from the '50's, "Highway Patrol" starring Broderick Crawford, at 2am. What a great hour of drama and adventure in good ol' Black and White! Takes me back...way back.

As I watch the "Operation Greenback" episode on This at 1:31 a.m., I noticed "Sea Hunt"'s been the longest-airing series on This' late night hours the past few years. The shows that followed it previously were "Rat Patrol," "Highway Patrol," & I think "Green Acres." Currently "Sea Hunt" precedes "Flipper." (the original, not the remake w/ Jessica Alba)

Until last week, Sea Hunt was aired at 4;30am - if at all. Then, hooray hooray, they have begun showing it EVERY weekday morning at 5:30, preceded by Highway Patrol at 5 - that I can do, lol! It is great starting my day with lovely hot coffee and great shows from before my time. Sea Hunt is the best - I actually find myself watching with my heart in my throat, after initially expecting any suspense to be relatively unsophisticated. I have been happily surprised with each episode and really enjoy seeing young Beau and little Jeff. What wonderful memories they must have of working with their dad. The current episodes are already from the final season (4), so I am hoping hard that they will start again at the beginning, as my area has only just started receiving THIS TV recently.
