connors, first man to break a backboard

I read that connors..who played pro baseball and pro basketball..he was 6"7...was the first player in the NBA to ever break a backboard while dunking. Pretty funny

What I read on Conners' bio is a worker failed to put something between the basket bracket and the backboard. It said that actually Conners hit the rim during warm up practice and it broke the glass.

Yea...well...that's the difference between truth n rumors. No cell phone cameras back then. Regardless, Conors was a badass.

I had no idea they were using glass backboards in the 1940s.
