That sounds like a title for a Perry Mason episode doesn't it?

Episode 2, Season 1 "The Prisoner" approximately 4 minutes into the episode

Shootout in saloon with John Doucette as the bad guy. Marshall squats down to examine Mr. Corpse. Turns Mr. Corpse onto his back. Marshall stands up. Notice Mr. Corpse's feet at bottom of screen . Just prior to Marshall stepping forward Mr. Corpse moves his legs out of Marshal's path so as to give Marshal clear path.

It certainly was polite for Mr. Corpse to move his feet so as not to trip up the Marshal.

Hawk-eyed spouse caught this, not I. And as much as I've watched these episodes I should have.

Also keep an eye out for "helpful hats" in some episodes: When a star or guest star has occasion to fall on the earthen main street, their hats often conveniently cradle their heads to keep their faces out of the dirt.
