'riding shotgun' episode

Just saw the episode titled "Riding Shotgun"- another pretty blatant ripoff, this time of the Randolph Scott film of the same name- even to naming the unjustly accused shotgun messenger "Larry DeLong"- Scott's character in the film. Score another one for Warner Brothers. Cheap buggers.

It was a common practice for Warner Brothers back then to recycle scripts. They would just change the characters names. At least two of the Lawman episodes were Cheyenne scripts. They list the writer in the credits as "W. Hermanos." W is for Warner, and Hermanos is the Spanish word for brothers.
