Just saw her on episode 12 of season 1 of "Cheyenne", Fury at Rio Hondo" (7/21/11), a full 1 1/2 years before her "Lawman" debut. Boy, was she pretty, and meshed so well with Clint Walker. Great episode!

Yes, like most of you, I'm enjoying the "Lawman" revival on Encore. I decided to search for Peggie Castle and was shocked to learn that she passed away in 1973 at the age of 45. A sad end to the life of this adorable actress.

Peggie was a couple of months pregnant when Lawman got canceled. She decided to quit show biz and raise her child (which was what a lot of actresses did in those days). Unfortunately, she developed an addiction to alcohol and pills and passed away at the age of 45. She did one acting role after Lawman, a guest shot on The Virginian in 1966.
