This is without a doubt THE BEST Lawman episode I have ever watched (either first run, when I was a boy, or now on Encore's Western Channel). The tension is intense from beginning to end. Guest star: Jack Elam.

I agree it is definitely one of their best. Jack Elam is without a doubt one of the best TV western villains of all time. Great performances too in this episode from John Russell, Peter Brown, and Peggy Castle.
