After The Series Ended

I prefer to believe that Dan and Miss Lily got married. Dan bought a ranch right outside of town while Lily continued to own and operate Bird Cage. Law and order was maintained by Marshal Johnny McKay and Deputy Owny O'Reilly.

I give that two thumbs up!!

I wish they could have gone one more season to tie up that loose end. Dan and Lily had amazing chemistry together.

I agree with the chemistry. One episode comes to mind when a girl that worked at the Birdcage was getting married. She, Lily, and Dan were sitting at a table and talking about her getting married. Lily made some not-so-subtle comments about getting married while looking at Dan and Dan's stoic reply to the effect of how good it was to marry a wealthy man were great.

I found the episode, it was Last Stop, S2 E13.
Bill Jennings is planning to marry Amie who works at The Birdcage.

In the scene, Bill, Amie, Lily, and Dan are at the table. Lily remarks about Amie's big diamond ring and turning to look at Dan says if someone gave her a ring like that she might get married herself. Dan replied "Fella had that much money'd be a good catch."

This was one of the few times Dan was seen drinking an alcoholic beverage on the show.

Hey you! Is done by TV cops for foot chases. Real cops don't do this.

No self-respecting man in those days would have allowed his wife to work (unless it was at the ranch or other family business), never mind own and run a brothel.

Cite your source for Miss Lily's establishment being a brothel, please.

Most Saloons in those days were Brothels. They partly catered for Cowboys who had no time to build up relationships with women, being out of the trail a lot. 50's and 60's TV sanitized this of course!
