Caught an episode this morning and there is a little girl they called Trisha on the show. It is a later episode since Jeff is as tall as his dad. Did Donna give birth on the show, was she adopted or is she a relative?

Actually, Trisha isn't related to the Stones in any way, even though she calls Donna "mommy" and Alex "daddy." Her last name isn't Stone. She's not adoped, unless you count the way in which a stray dog or cat might be "adoped." Basically, Trisha is a stray. She has an uncle who is apparently her legal guardian, but he never seems to visit her. About the only part I found believable about Trisha's introduction was that Mary at first resented Trisha because of all the attention she got. Trisha, by the way, is played by Patty Peterson, Paul Peterson's real-life little sister.
Trisha showed up one day, she decided she lived there, would not leave, and her Uncle just let her stay, he didn't want her any way. She's a stray cat.
shareI always wondered about that thanks. I grew up in the 80s watching this show on TV Land. My sister and I loved it.
