So it apparently is supposed to be that when the guy went to the past he was naked. There is a blooper at that part where he is behind the bush twice you can see that he is wearing black pants. Then there's the question of, if his clothes didn't go back with him, why did his watch go back.

YUP! I noticed that, too.
Also, they should have explained why the guy was naked, like they could have said so in the future, before he leaves. It wasn't obvious to me. I thought, "Oboy! So this is 50s porn!"
I also thought, What if a knight hadn't wandered by alone? He would have had to either hide until he found someone to bushwhack, or walk through he woods naked for a long time.
At that thought, I wished it was me.
