In the nightclub JJ Burt is sItting with three people when Tony Curtis comes in. The young woman comments that she has no brains and comes for New Jersey to which Burt says something to the effect but the clothes are "trainer norrell". WHATS THAT

Trainor-Norell was a high-fashion line that was ultra-chic in the 50s & early 60s

The reference was to the fashion label Traina-Norell; the label of the designers Anthony Traina and Norman Norell.
